Elise Lovisa

Owner, DVM

Dr. Lovisa graduated summa cum laude from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. She received several awards for academic excellence including Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Sigma and Mortar Board. Dr. Lovisa entered the NYS College of Veterinary Medicine Graduate school in a Master’s Program for the Feline Health Center and was a teaching assistant for veterinary students.

She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University and pursued an internship at the Animal Medical Center in N.Y.C. Dr. Lovisa has been in private practice in Ardsley since 1986 and has been a guest speaker at several high school career functions, and a guest on numerous radio and TV programs.

She has been recognized as a Top Veterinarian by Westchester Magazine in 2011 and 2012. Her special interests are internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, weight management and disease prevention. She works cooperatively with several pet rescue groups, pursues continuing education, and takes great pleasure in mentoring high school and pre-veterinary students. Dr. Lovisa lives in Ardsley with her husband, has two adult children and currently owns two cats, Otis and Vito. After hours she enjoys exercising, reading, being with friends, and traveling.

Dr. Lovisa primarily works out of our sister location, Ardsley Veterinary Associates.

Paige Boivin

DVM

Dr. Boivin is a recent New York resident but has been practicing in the northeast for several years. Starting her career as an emergency doctor prepared her for many obstacles in small animal general practice and makes her dedicated to continue to practice high quality medicine while strengthening her relationship with both her patients and their owners.

Dr. Boivin graduated with Bachelors of Biology and Chemistry from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL where she was also a collegiate athlete and played volleyball. She received her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University located in the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Kitts.
She began her career in medicine as an animal science intern at Zoo Miami where she researched animal enrichment advancements, behavioral patterns, and genetic linked husbandry deficiencies in big cats. Dr. B’s medical interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, infectious diseases, and pain and wound management. She also takes pride in client education and community outreach through many volunteer activities with the local government. Dr. B feels right at home at Yorktown Vet with being surrounded by a supportive team with an innovative passionate mindset.

In her free time she enjoys all types of live music, gardening, playing beach volleyball, and floating around in the pool! But most of all, Dr. Boivin loves to craft up DIY projects. Dr. B shares her love for caring for animals with her husband, who is also a veterinarian! Together they have a maine coon named Nigel, a lab mix named Brennan, and Anatolian mix named Phil. Dr. Boivin also recently became a new mom to a baby girl.
