Job Duties (including, but not limited to, the following)
Technical Skills: venipuncture, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, anesthesia administration/management, intubation and patient monitoring, surgical assistance, catheterization, IV administration, dentistry procedures, lab protocols, operation and maintenance of clinic equipment, nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases, medication administration, animal handling/restraint.
Additional Skills: strong oral and written communication skills including effective review of treatment plans to clients, ability to respond to client queries, diverse veterinary field product knowledge, effective patient intake, attention to detail and solid organizational skills, strong computer skills (knowledge of Cornerstone veterinary software a plus), ability to prioritize, collegial attitude and team player, intellectually curious, ability to put the needs of our patients first.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises and possibly be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases.
